Cook It Erica is the recipe and lifestyle site of Morgan and Erica, a mother-daughter food creator duo from Austin, Texas, with over 500k Instagram followers and 3.1 million on TikTok. EVDEV built a custom theme on Shopify for creators who publish more than they sell: a recipe archive filtered by category, detailed recipe pages, a lifestyle blog and a Must Haves menu for the kitchen products they recommend.
Cook It Erica is run by Morgan and Erica, a mother-daughter duo from Austin, Texas, who share recipes, kitchen must-haves and lifestyle content.
Their audience is over 500k on Instagram and 3.1 million on TikTok. The job was a Shopify site that turns that social following into a place to cook from, read and shop.
The site had to make a large recipe library easy to browse by category, with recipe pages that give ingredients and instructions at a glance.
It also needed room for lifestyle blog posts and for the quizzes, sales and events the duo runs, plus a home for the products they use. Search visibility for recipe content mattered from the start.
EVDEV delivered a custom Shopify theme with a homepage built around recently loved recipes, a category icon grid, an About block for Morgan and Erica, a Featured In press section and a newsletter sign-up.
The All Recipes archive filters by 11 categories, and recipe pages show yield, author, prep, cook and total time with the ingredient list. The site is structured for SEO and works on desktop and mobile.
