The story
myWork Supplies sold janitorial, breakroom, safety, office and facility supplies to businesses from a Shopify Plus store of about 120,000 SKUs. EVDEV built the B2B side of the store: a quick order page that shows each buyer only the products assigned to their company and location, variant options hidden or pre-selected per account, unit-of-measure labels, safety data sheets and spec tables from structured fields, and a checkout extension that suggests reorder items.
myWork Supplies sold cleaning chemicals, gloves, breakroom food, safety signs, furniture and office supplies to companies, not to the public.
Each company bought from its own list of products, often dozens of lines per order, and some buyers needed tax-exempt items while others did not. The catalogue ran to about 120,000 SKUs from many suppliers, and many products needed a safety data sheet.
Make a catalogue of that size workable for a buyer who reorders the same things every month: show them only what their company buys, let them add many lines from one page, stop them from picking the wrong variant or the wrong pack size, and put the safety and spec data where they look for it.
We built a quick order page that reads each buyer's company and location and lists only the products assigned to them, with search, sort by name or price, a category picker and a quantity stepper and Add to Cart on every line.
An account setting decides which variant a buyer gets, so the taxable or non-taxable choice is pre-selected and the picker is hidden on the quick order page, product cards and product pages. Unit-of-measure labels keep "each", "box" and "case" apart across 120,000 SKUs. Product pages read the safety data sheet, manufacturer number and up to 50 spec rows from structured fields, and pick the delivery note from the product's supplier ID. At checkout, an extension suggests items from the same collection, then the same type and vendor, with quantity steppers.
