The story
EVDEV handled the data work and Shopify development around Ästhetik's move from Magento to Shopify Plus: product attributes from its Acumatica ERP, product images matched by SKU from the old Magento catalogue, and 971 trade accounts matched to Shopify B2B companies for tiered pricing. Ästhetik is a North Carolina textile house, sewing to order since 1978, that sells fabric by the yard and finished curtains, shades and pillows to homeowners and to the trade.
Ästhetik, the house formed from Heritage Fabrics, Roth & Tompkins and Ferncrest, was leaving Magento for Shopify Plus, with Acumatica as its ERP.
Its Acumatica connector brought stock items and customers into Shopify, but not their attributes, so products arrived without fiber, width, weight or certifications and with almost no images. The 980 trade companies in its customer export also had to buy at their own price tier.
Get each fabric's details out of Acumatica and onto the Shopify product, so buyers can filter by colour, fiber and use and read the specs on the page.
Bring the product photos over from the old Magento catalogue without touching prices, titles or stock. Then put each trade account on the right B2B catalogue and turn on ordering, with launch planned for the week of May 25, 2026.
We wrote a re-runnable import that reads Acumatica's 4,301 stock items, groups them under their 386 template items and maps them to 16 attribute fields on the Shopify product, with 8 compliance flags such as NFPA 701 and OEKO-TEX rolled into one certifications field.
Images came over from Magento by SKU: 1,654 of 2,218 SKUs matched, and the final run imaged 206 products and linked each variant to its own image. For B2B we matched 971 of 980 trade companies by name. After our run, 990 company locations were on one of 5 tiered catalogues, 277 of them assigned by us. By June 2, 435 companies were approved for ordering, and we sent the client a list of the 576 that still needed a contact before they could order. In the theme we added sample ordering to product pages, made the collection grid update with the filters and set the header cart to open the cart drawer.
