The story
Storyteller Overland builds adventure vans on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and expedition trucks under its GXV brand. We worked on its Shopify site as Shopify developers, building the custom sections behind the vehicle model pages: hero, specs, floorplans with measured layouts, colour options and galleries.
Storyteller Overland started in Birmingham, Alabama in 2018 and builds adventure vans on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, plus expedition trucks under the GXV name.
Every model has its own page, and buyers look at a van that costs as much as a house in a lot of detail: the layout, the measurements, the paint, the specs.
Give each van and truck a model page that answers those questions in one place, and make the pages out of sections the Storyteller team can reuse, so a new model year means filling in blocks rather than building a page from scratch.
We built custom Liquid sections for the model pages: the hero with the price bar, spec tabs, floorplans with numbered dimensions, colour selection, masonry galleries and feature blocks.
The Crew MODE and Beast MODE pages on the live site still run on that section set.
