Contrail Bags — a flight bag configurator store by EVDEV for the aviation & travel gear industry.

EVDEV delivered a custom Shopify theme built on Tailwind CSS, with its own typography, colour and button system and fully responsive sections for desktop, tablet and mobile. At its core is a 6-step flight bag configurator. A shopper picks an aircraft and storage location, then a flight type, then selects the gear they carry, each item tagged with its volume and category. A rule-based scoring engine ranks the matching bags with a "% match" score and flags the best fit. The next step suggests compatible accessories with a live Setup Capacity meter, and the final step adds the complete setup to the cart in one action. Navigation runs through a mega menu driven by metaobjects, with series columns and featured products, and a drill-down slider on mobile. A full-width search dropdown built on Shopify predictive search shows trending searches, popular products and live results. New product pages bring together specifications, compatible accessories, reviews, an FAQ and related bags. The About page tells the pilot-founded story with stats, a craftsmanship section, a process slider and a custom video player. A client handbook in web and PDF formats covers the storefront, the Theme Editor and Shopify Admin.
