The story
Pilot Institute is an online flight school that teaches drone, airplane and helicopter pilots, best known for its FAA Part 107 drone license course. EVDEV built the Shopify store for its Black Friday 2026 sale: one page where students pick classes from Drone, Airplane and Helicopter tabs, the discount rises from 30% to 40% to 50% as they add a first, second and third class, and a sticky cart bar keeps the running total and checkout in view.
Pilot Institute sells online ground school and skills classes for drone, airplane and helicopter pilots, from the FAA Part 107 course to drone mapping, LiDAR, photography and the Private Pilot course.
For Black Friday it offers a bundle deal: the more classes in one order, the bigger the discount, up to half price for three or more.
Give the sale a store of its own where the deal explains itself: shoppers browse every class by aircraft, add the ones they want in a tap and see the discount grow as they go, on a phone as easily as on a laptop, without leaving the page until checkout.
We built the Black Friday store on Shopify.
A banner with three tier cards opens the page, tabs split the classes into Drone, Airplane and Helicopter and swap the banner art, and each class card adds to the cart in one tap. As classes go in, the matching tier card turns active and the sticky cart bar fills its slots, names the next saving, shows the original price struck through next to the new total and keeps the checkout button in reach.
