The story
Synofit is a Dutch health supplement brand selling green-lipped mussel joint formulas online, with more than 3.5 million euros in annual sales. EVDEV built its headless Shopify store on Shopify Plus with Next.js, the Storefront API and Contentful, adding custom product recommendations, cart abandonment features, Klarna installment payments and a wishlist.
Synofit is a Dutch health products brand built around green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) supplements for joints and muscles.
Its site lists more than 1,200 drugstores, health food shops and pharmacies that stock the range, and its webshop processes more than 3.5 million euros in sales each year. The brief was a headless Shopify Plus store that could carry that volume and keep growing.
The store had to let shoppers find the right formula by product, health goal or ingredient, and pay the way they prefer, including in installments.
Content had to be editable by non-developers, the site had to rank in search, and marketing needed tools to bring back shoppers who left items in their cart.
EVDEV delivered a Next.js storefront connected to Shopify Plus through the Storefront API and Shopify API, with Contentful managing content.
The build includes custom product recommendations, cart abandonment features, newsletter and discount campaign integrations, Klarna installment payments, a wishlist and SEO optimization. The architecture is set up so the store can be extended as the range grows.
