The story
Hattan is an independent perfume house whose fragrances are composed and bottled in Abu Dhabi. It sells a small range of 75 ml scents in the UAE and five other Gulf states. In 2025 EVDEV built its Shopify theme on Horizon: a homepage product slider, collection filters and sorting, product pages with a sticky add to cart bar, a customised search panel and switching between English and Arabic. Others have added to the store since.
Hattan sells only its own fragrances, as men's, women's and unisex scents, to shoppers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
In 2025 the brand needed a new theme for its Shopify store that let shoppers narrow the range by who a scent is for and that worked in English and in Arabic.
A Shopify theme in English and Arabic where a shopper can filter the range by men's, women's or unisex, sort it by best seller or price and find a scent from the search, on a phone or a laptop.
We built the theme on Shopify's Horizon, adding our own sections and reworking the stock header, search and product page code.
On the homepage we built the product slider that is now headed A Fresh Sensation. Collection pages filter by Men's, Women's and Unisex using product tags, and sort by best seller or price. Product pages show the size above the title and a sticky add to cart bar, and on phones the image gallery opens into a full-screen viewer. The header has a predictive search panel with the Hattan logo, the mobile menu has its own language panel, the theme carries Arabic translations, and on phones and tablets our footer links to an FAQ popup grouped by category.
