Shopify CRO expert in Toronto
Misha Gavura
Co-founder, Growth & Technology, EVDEV
I help Shopify and Shopify Plus brands turn more of their visitors into orders. I have been hands-on in every store EVDEV has launched, 180+ of them, and every conversion decision on those projects came through me: I read the session recordings, pick what to test, and write the theme code when the fix is in the theme.

Three jobs, one person
Most stores lose money in the seam between design, code and marketing, the place where each specialist assumes another one owns it. I work across all three, which is why the seam is where I spend most of my time.
Conversion rate optimization
Session recordings, funnel drop-off, and the checkout steps nobody watches. I find where revenue leaks, design the fix, and run the A/B test that proves whether it was worth shipping. Every CRO idea EVDEV has put in front of a client started here.
Read the 5,410-store conversion study I ledShopify development
Hand-written Liquid, custom sections, Storefront API and headless builds when the project earns it. A conversion fix that has to wait three weeks for a developer is not a fix, so I ship my own.
Shopify development at EVDEVMarketing & search
Positioning, offer, and the search and AI-answer visibility that decides whether the optimized page is ever seen. A store that converts beautifully and ranks for nothing is still a store nobody buys from.
Shopify SEO at EVDEVHow I find what your store is losing
The same four steps on every project, whether it is a first build or a store already doing seven figures.
Measure before touching anything
Analytics, session recordings and the checkout funnel as it is today. Opinions about a store are cheap; the drop-off between the product page and the cart is not.
Find the friction that costs the most
Every store has dozens of small problems and two or three expensive ones. I rank by lost revenue, not by how easy they are to fix.
Design and build the fix
The change goes into the theme properly, not as a script bolted on top that the next theme update will break.
Test it, then keep the winner
An A/B test decides whether it stays. Changes that do not earn their place get reverted, which is the part most "CRO audits" never get to.
StorePilot: the method, as software
After enough stores, the analysis starts to repeat. StorePilot is that analysis turned into an AI CRO agent for Shopify: it watches shopper behaviour, names the friction, proposes the fix and runs the test. We built it inside EVDEV for our own client work and then opened it to founding merchants. I review each founding merchant’s first tests myself.

Questions I get asked
- Who is Misha Gavura?
- Misha Gavura is a Shopify CRO expert and the co-founder of EVDEV, a Shopify and Shopify Plus agency in Toronto, where he leads growth and technology. He has spent 7+ years on Shopify and has been hands-on in every one of the 180+ stores EVDEV has launched.
- What does a Shopify CRO expert actually do?
- Finds where a store loses buyers and proves the fix. In practice that means reading analytics and session recordings, ranking the friction by the revenue it costs, building the change into the theme, and A/B testing it so the store keeps only what wins. It is not a checklist of best practices applied blind.
- What do I get from the free conversion review?
- Five specific conversion pain points found on your store, each with what it is costing you and what I would do about it. It is a review of your actual store, not a template. There is no obligation to hire EVDEV afterwards.
- How long does Shopify CRO take to show results?
- A test needs enough traffic to reach significance, so the honest answer depends on your volume, not on a calendar. Low-traffic stores get more value from fixing obvious friction than from A/B testing it; higher-traffic stores can run a proper test programme. I will tell you which one you are on the first call.
- Do you work on Shopify Plus stores?
- Yes, Plus and standard Shopify both. EVDEV builds custom Liquid themes and goes headless with Next.js and the Storefront API when a project calls for it.
- Do you only work with stores in Toronto?
- No. EVDEV is based in Toronto and works with brands across Canada and the US. Calls happen over video, and the free conversion review needs nothing more than your store URL.
- Do I work with you directly or with the agency?
- With me, alongside the EVDEV specialists a project needs. The studio is in-house, so the strategist, developer, designer and analyst on your project all sit on the same team, with no handoffs to a subcontractor you never meet.
